Is this a counterfeit L'Occitane product?

| I have recently purchased this L'Occitane en Provence handcream collection online, not directly from a L'Occitane store. This is a limited edition product from 2024 seasons (1st pic). When I got the package, I suspected that it might be counterfeit due to the low quality printing with the packaging that I would never expect from L'Occitane. There are flaws with the packaging ie, pictures on the individual boxes seem a bit blurry and minor colour bleeds (3rd pic). When I compare the product's colour to a L'Occitane gift bag I have, it's not the same colour tone (4th pic) When I opened the handcream, the smell was different from my sample size 10 mL L'Occitane rose citron meyer handcream (purchased from a L'Occitane store in Australia) My handcream has a more citrusy and rose smell. I have checked the batch number (2nd pic) and it seems to be legitimate. It seems like a very good counterfeit from China but I can't tell. Does L'Occitane have different standards for different countries? The store I bought it from says it is legitimate, but I don't know if I trust them. Thanks [link] [comments] |
