Florianópolis, Brasil?

Hey all,

How are you? I am curious to know if anyone has visited Florianópolis, Brasil? I am interested in visiting but have seen mixed reviews. Most rave about the beaches and nature, but I also see a number of comments about the amount of traffic and how 'spread out' attractions/beaches are without a car.

Have any of you gone? Looking for any experiences, opinions, advice you might have.
