Alaska: Getting From Anchorage to Seward

I’m planning a trip to Alaska toward the end of May and I am trying to figure out the best way to get from Anchorage to Seward. I’d prefer not to drive if possible, so I’m looking at alternatives.

The Alaska Railroad looks beautiful and seems like a great option for taking in the scenery, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has made this trip and might have notes or other suggestions x

If not- Are there any trade-offs or logistics to know about before booking?

Details:

We are staying in the Seward area pretty primarily (save for Kenai Fjords)

Budget: $3000 for four days (accommodations and flights are already booked)

# of People: 2 adults

Baseline: We are both very easy going/ go with the flow types and admittedly a little Type B
