Affordable air/skin care to prep for wedding

hi, I need advice! sorry, bit of a longer post...

I have never been one to spend very much on beauty products, as I've never had much disposable income and it's just not something I've had time or patience for. but, I am getting married next year and in the meantime would like to work on my skincare and haircare to look as nice as possible for my wedding. I do not wear makeup, so any blemishes i have on my wedding day would not be covered up by makeup (it's not that I'm against makeup, just never feel like myself in it!)

but, i tend to have frequent acne breakouts. my skin is also a bit oily. I have some acne scars (unfortunate habit of picking at my face) and my pores on my nose and forehead do not look great. right now, i just use a cheap face wash and moisturizer, occasionally i borrow my boyfriend's exfoliating cleanser, that is it. there are so many options for skincare that I just don't know where to start. does anyone have advice on building a simple skincare routine? also, i see a lot of people say their routines in the morning and night are different, does that really matter?

my other issue is my hair... I have very frizzy hair, new hair growth on top of my scalp that sticks out making it look frizzier, split ends that happen too soon after haircuts. i use pantene shampoo and conditioner, and about once a week I use head and shoulders. I double shampoo, i use leave in conditioner after showers. i don't use any heating things on my hair. i almost never have it up. never bleached it or anything. what more can I be doing for my hair? this is the important part because a year from now I'd really like to have healthy hair! my hair is a bit wavy and very thick, if that matters.

i don't mind spending a little bit more on products for now for the sake of looking nice by the time my wedding rolls around. but i'd still prefer not to break the bank for it.
