Buying NOS Vintage Barrettes

Howdy! I've recently cut my hair shorter and have been wearing it down sometimes, with one side pulled up above my ear with a barrette. I bought some Goody's and Scunci barrettes that are new, and then found some NOS Goody's barrettes (from '70s, '80s, '90s) on eBay. They're in the original packaging.

Do y'all think I need to worry about sanitizing these? Or testing them for lead or anything? I figure they're the same sort of things I did own when I WAS a kid in the '80s and I didn't die from lead poisoning...
