What should I get at the nail salon if I’m not a regular?

I haven’t gotten my nails done in years, but I would like to get them done for vacation. I know there’s so many different things now gel, gelx, dip, acrylic, etc. and I don’t know what to get.

I feel like regular nail polish comes off too quick but I also want something I won’t have to go back to the salon to get taken off. I also just want it on my natural nail, no tips.
