The rapid and largely unquestioned pivot to digital learning during the pandemic created an infrastructure deeply embedded in educational practices, and disentangling that infrastructure presents a significant challenge. While the initial response to the pandemic necessitated leveraging technology for continuity of education, the long-term consequences of this shift, particularly concerning cognitive development and learning outcomes, demand careful scrutiny.
